AI in the Workplace: What Are the Key Legal and Business Considerations?
Artificial intelligence is the next transformative technological innovation. Just like email and the Internet, AI is rapidly being integrated into business applications, and will become a critical aspect of many different business operations. Companies that ignore this technology or lag behind risk being competitively disadvantaged. Additionally, adopting AI should be accomplished strategically, with a plan that ensures that the business implements the right AI applications in compliance with existing and forthcoming legal regulations. For example, AI has tremendous power to enhance certain human resources functions, but simultaneously presents risks if not properly configured and controlled. This presentation will address the legal and business principles emerging for the adoption and use of AI by businesses, including for human resources functions.
