About MAHRAThe Manchester Area Human Resources Association was originally formed in 1954 by a small group of local professionals who were interested in sharing information and experiences about personnel issues. MAHRA was affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management in 1973. MAHRA currently maintains a membership of over 170 members representing a diverse range of professionals working in the interests of human resource management for private and public organizations of all types and sizes, as well as education and various service firms that contribute to the needs and goals of the profession. To satisfy this professional diversity, and as a means of responding to the ever-changing demands of the field, the chapter serves its members by conducting monthly program meetings, seminars, professional accreditation opportunities, and social events. In addition, MAHRA provides information on legal and legislative matters and representation to state and national human resources associations. MAHRA is a local to the Greater Manchester Area serving HR Professionals, Business Professionals with HR Management responsibilities, and the only NH Master’s level HR Student Chapter. MAHRA is a Non-Profit 501(c)(6) and one of seven local chapters across New Hampshire. MAHRA has been recognized over the years for the SHRM Excel Chapter and SHRM Foundation Chapter Champion. MAHRA continues to give back to the Greater Manchester Area through a 2-year Non-Profit Partnership commitment with Families in Transition. Some top considerations for those that join MAHRA:
