March 2009
MAHRA – Manchester Area Human Resources Association chose New Horizons for New Hampshire as their 2008 / 2009 charity for giving.  "New Horizons was chosen among many, stated Alison Kivikoski, President of MAHRA. Our group organized a“Baby” themed drive to help the many children and families in need."  Mary Silva, New Horizons Food Services Director said, "We are grateful to MAHRA for their help to receive the larger size diapers because they are so expensive and there are fewer to a package.  Last month we have seen an increase of 58 children/families using our Food Pantry. Their drive contributed much needed diapers, wipes, baby food and clothing."

MAHRA will also participate as a team and Walk Against Hunger on May 17, 2009.  MAHRA is a non-profit organization offering high quality human resource programs and networking opportunities to its membership of over 150 professionals.

Attached are a couple of pictures of the event / Baby themed drive from our March 2009 Meeting (click to see bigger image).

As many of you have heard, C.R. Sparks will be closing and relocating. Because there is no information on when and where they will relocate, MAHRA had to choose another venue for our meetings. This will start with our first meeting in January. We will be meeting Banquet room at The Derryfield Country Club. The Derryfield is located at 625 Mammoth Road, Manchester, NH 03104. Just as a reminder please remember to bring cash or check to the meeting in order to pay for your attendance. It is additional work for volunteers to create bills and mail them. Also if you register for a meeting and don’t attend we still need to collect payment as meals have been prepared for you. Thanks so much in advance for you help with this.
