HR Generalist (Full-time)
Location: Londonderry, NH
Overall Objectives
Acting as the primary Human Resources contact/representative for all ECCO Retail employees, policies, programs, etc., this position will provide functional support to the Human Resources department in its mission to support the organization and its employees.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete personnel administration for ECCO Retail employees
- Administration of employee benefit plans and fringe benefit programs
- Preparation of ECCO Retail corporate and governmental reports
- Development and continuous updating of ECCO Retail HR Manual
- Conduct periodic retail store audits for compliance, employee morale, etc.
- Assist in employee relations management (performance plans, discipline, etc.)
- Assist in development of ECCO Retail policies, procedures, etc.
- Preparation of weekly ECCO Retail employee payroll changes
- Assists in the recruitment process (job postings, phone screens, etc.)
- Coordination of annual performance review and merit increase processes
- Coordination of preparation of HR documents and information for new store openings
- Super-user for UltiPro (employee administration, security administration, etc.)
- Coordination of employee workers compensation claims and injuries
- Administration of employment verifications and unemployment claims
- Coordination of new employee orientation and onboarding processes
- Coordination of employee service anniversaries
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years experience in a Human Resources Assistant or Generalist role
- Solid understanding of basic employment laws
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally (both verbal and written)
- Ability to prioritize work and adjust priorities as needed
- Superior organization, attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Ability to travel domestically as needed

HR Systems Specialist - TEMPORARY

Position Summary
This is a temporary position with an estimated start date of 5/15/10. Position is expected to last approximately 14 - 16 weeks. The primary focus of this position is the support and maintenance of the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact and assists with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. Responsibilities include the following:
- Assist in the review, testing, and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintain HRMS system tables. Document process and results.
- Provide support for HRMS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g., payroll department). Use project management skills in managing projects. May provide overall project management for a given HR initiative.
- Write, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train clients on new processes/functionality. Train new system users.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or directly applicable discipline
- Minimum of three years of HRIS, HR generalist or specialist experience
- One to two years of project management experience, including systems implementation
- Must have strong Crystal Reports experience and experience working with HRIS systems, with Sage ABRA a definite plus
- Strong understanding of HRMS database design, structure, functions,and processes, and experience with database tools
- Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with significant project management and coordination skills
